The Town of
Seventeen Seventy
|
|

|
Located
about 5 1/2 hours by car north of Brisbane, the Town of 1770 is
situated between Bundaberg and Gladstone right at the start of the
Great
Barrier Reef.
| Nestled in
between Eurimbula and Deepwater national parks the Town of 1770 got its
name in recognition of the fact that Leutenant James Cook landed here
in
that year. |
 |
|
A stunning
inlet and beautiful beaches mark this area with the sister township of
Agnes
Water, just 6 km away, recognised as having the most northern surf
beach
on the east coast of Australia. |
 |
This
picturesque
spot has been a well kept secret for a long time, but with the road
having
been finished this place is becoming one of the must see spots on
anyones
trip in Queensland.
