The Town of
Seventeen Seventy

Located about 5 1/2 hours by car north of Brisbane, the Town of 1770 is situated between Bundaberg and Gladstone right at the start of the Great Barrier Reef.

Nestled in between Eurimbula and Deepwater national parks the Town of 1770 got its name in recognition of the fact that Leutenant James Cook landed here in that year.

A stunning inlet and beautiful beaches mark this area with the sister township of Agnes Water, just 6 km away, recognised as having the most northern surf beach on the east coast of Australia.

This picturesque spot has been a well kept secret for a long time, but with the road having been finished this place is becoming one of the must see spots on anyones trip in Queensland.
